Dr. Scott specializes in non-surgical treatment of spinal injuries. The majority of spine injuries respond to non-surgical treatments- statistically, only 10 percent or less will require surgery. Dr. Scott uses medications, therapies, and image guided spinal injections to treat most injuries. If your injury is one of those that will require surgery, then Dr. Scott will promptly refer you to the appropriate surgeon.

He has 20 years of experience performing Electromyography and Nerve Conduction Study (EMG/NCS) testing. This testing is completed in order to evaluate for a variety of nerve and muscle disorders. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. ABEM Board Certification is the highest qualification for practitioners in this field.

Dr. Scott is also Board Certified in the subspecialty of Sports Medicine. He provides non-surgical treatments for injuries to the spine, joints and limbs. His office has diagnostic ultrasound technology to aid in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal injuries. He is active in the sports medicine community and he currently acts as Team Physician for Mesa Community College. He has provided medical care for the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon, the Suzuki Primal Quest, the Del Mar and Ramona Rodeos, the Olympic Training Center, as well as many other events.
